Apple has made a 1.8 million battery recall after it announced that it had nine Apple said it has had nine reports of batteries overheating. Now, if we have a look at the battery recall program initiated by Apple and Dell (4.1 million-battery recall), we can say for sure that market conditions are unfavorable for the two.

But Dell, you shouldnt be so glad to have a partner in the bad time since there is a lot of difference between 1.8 and 4.1. Anyway, Apple has a Battery-Exhange-Program webpage for its users where they can identify their battery and claim for the change.

The giants are doing darn good to ensure their goodwill in the market but they might be cursing Sony for the affected batteries.

Anyway, the HP laptops to integrate Merom processor are HP Pavilion dv9000z and Pavilion dv6000t notebook that are on sale on the HP site with the option of Core 2 Duo T5600 CPU running at 1.83GHz with 2MB of L2 cache and a 2.00GHz T7200 Merom CPU with 4MB of cache.

The pricing is quite levelheaded as the HP Pavilion dv6000t with T5600 is priced around $1024 while the HP Pavilion dv9000t featuring T5600 starts at $1424.
