One laptop per child seems to be a great idea and may prove beneficial in the long run for the betterment of education for children. OLPC proudly announced that OLPC XO BTest-2 laptops are here for the future of children and would help to grow adaptability and as well as increase education patterns.
A spokes person at the OLPC stated:
The hardware is continuing beta test for the electronics, beta test of the new screen (this time with a diffuser improving it further) and touch pad. The industrial design is only somewhat improved from BTest-1; most of the learning from BTest-1 on mechanical improvements could not be incorporated in time for BTest-2 and so BTest-3 will be significantly more rugged than BTest-1 or BTest-2.
I personally think it to be a great idea towards the upliftment of child education program and would impart a tremendous boost and impetus in regards to the same.

NEC, last month, introduced Lavie J ultraportable and LaVie G series multimedia notebooks. Now, they have sprinkled blue color to its LaVie L machines. The 15.4” widescreen LaVie L LL550/HG PC is now being offered in blue (thank God! It’s not pink again).

The laptop comes with a 1.8GHz AMD Sempron 3200+ CPU, Vista Home Premium and Office Personal 2007, a Multi DVD, a 100GB hard disk, an AMD Radeon Xpress 1100 graphic card, 1GB of RAM, and other basic features. The Wi-Fi a/b/g is taking care of the connectivity part. But, the weight of 3.1kg steals a bit the charm off the nicely configured machine.
