Dell offers laptop theft protection software

To tackle notebooks stealing problems and to attract more customers Dell has initiated to offer a complimentary theft protection service for one year on some of its notebooks computers that can track, locate and recover stolen notebooks.

The model includes XPS M1210, M1710 and M2010.

This security system called Computrace LoJack is designed by Absolute Software company.

The software enables recovery teams or owners to track stolen laptop location via internet connection and can also assist to retrieve data if the notebooks are damaged.

But according to Dell’s website contents this offer applies to whole laptop lineup.
