So, the Palm fans, be happy as the latest and greatest Palm Foleo has come aboard to impress you with the scroll wheel, the keyboard, screen and the excellent browsing features. Palm Foleo, an interesting device and an interesting concept, is said to function excellently with your phone and all of that business, but before that you need a better Treo, or a Foleo or like device that replaces your Treo.

With the use of Foleo, you are enabled to take action to e-mails, view attachments; look at Web pages and photos. You are enabled edit and bring about Microsoft Word and Excel-compatible documents, view PDF files and display PowerPoint presentations, too. Foleo is also claimed to be capable of driving an external display or projector via a VGA adapter. You are also allowed to surf Wi-Fi hotspots wirelessly via the Foleo’s integrated Wi-Fi potential. Outside of Wi-Fi range, you are enabled to alternately or hook up over your mobile phone supplier’s data network by making use of a Bluetooth connection to the phone.

Bragging of a 10-inch widescreen display and a full-size keyboard, the device has been designed to be utilized with your smartphone, with any edits to documents made on one device automatically reflected on the other thanks to the device’s Bluetooth connectivity. The device also boasts of turning on ‘instantly’, brags integrated WiFi, and is supposed to last around 5 hours on a single charge. It sprints Linux.

Kohjinsha 7 Inch Touchscreen Laptop

Kohjinsha Korea rolled out its touchscreen edition of SA Plus series notebook. It has a 7 inch display, and comes with 512MB memory and a 100GB hard drive. Its battery lasts for 4.5 hours under power saving mode and charges to around 80% capacity in just an hour. The laptop is also preloaded with Saydic an electronic dictionary. Other features include Bluetooth, USB port and VGA out. The Kohjinsha notebook is now available in Korea for $965.

Toshibaand#8217;s laptops to feature AMD processors

Toshiba has announced that it will soon pack AMD processor in about 20 percent of the notebooks it sells in the United States and Europe.

According to the Toshiba spokeswoman Yuko Sugahara the company plans to put AMD chips in its moderate-priced standard models for individual and corporate clients. These AMD equipped notebooks will hit the market this summer and it will also reduce the parts-procurement costs till up to 10 percent.

The results of the research conducted by the IDC firm reveals that the number of Toshiba laptop PCs loaded with AMD chips can be calculated around 1.1 million units a year whereas Toshiba’s overall notebook PC shipments is recorded 9.2 million units in calendar 2006.

However, the value sheet of the Toshiba’s-AMD deal is not yet available but prices of AMD’s notebook-use microprocessors ranges $86 to $263 apiece in a block of 1,000 units.

Here comes a new concept device from Fujitsu, which has already depicted its liking for foldable laptops and e-ink displays. This time as is said by Engadget the company has come up with the two together in the form of a new concept device, which is said to be consisted with some extra special design touches given in for good measure.

Known as “Fab PC”, the laptop according to the grapevine makes use of fabric for much of its creation hence it has been named as Fab PC, so making the device more evocative of a usual folio — and undoubtedly put a stop to the critical tribulations of slippage too.

Regrettably we have no info of its specs, but the way e-ink production is on the rise, it doesn’t seem to be as far off from a release.

The Dell XPS M1210 Ultra-portable Notebook

The Dell XPS M1210 ultra-portable notebook adopts Intel’s new laptop platform, code-named “Santa Rosa”. According to rumor published on Gizmodo, the notebook will be launched on June 26 this year. It comes with a 12-inch LED backlight screen, the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a 800MHz front side bus, Nvidia GeForce 8400M dedicated graphics, and a slot-loading DVD drive. Weighing at just four pounds, the M1210 is also thinner than the current M1210 based on Intel “Napa” platform.
