Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Is Finally Official

After weeks of speculations on the internet, Dell has finally released their Inspiron Mini 9 netbook (aka Dell Inspiron 910), which is now available to order on their micro-website. The full specs $449 netbook features Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, 8GB SSD, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, Windows XP and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. You get to choose optional white casing by adding $25. While the Linux Ubuntu version costs slightly less at $349. It will hit shelves at September 16th. [Gizmodo]

HP Bundles Laptop With Cool (Green) Bag

HP just announced laptop bundled with cool bag made from recycled material, to be sold exclusively through US retailer WalMart. The bundle includes DV6929WM-B 15.4-inch notebook, based on a 2GHz AMD Turion X2 TL-60 Dual-Core Mobile CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 250GB 5,400rpm SATA hard-drive. GETAC has launched another fully rugged notebook, the B300, that has been designed to be fully customizable, with an extensive list of security, power and connectivity options. The B300 features an ultra-bright 13.3 inch sunlight readable display making it an ideal choice for daylight viewing. Its exterior is made from magnesium alloy, and is equipped with shock mounted hard disk drive, vibration and shock resistance body, and sealed I/O caps and doors to prevent damage from solid particles and moisture. It is also heavily armed for privacy and data security via its fingerprint scanner, TPM V1.2, optional smart card reader and includes comprehensive connectivity options including Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, GPS and 3G. The computing specs include Intel® Core™2 Duo Merom L7500 1.6GHz processor, 512MB DDR2 expandable to 4GB, SATA 80GB expandable to 250GB, DVD Super Multi Drive, and more. Raon has finally revealed the pricing for its latest Everun Note “UMPC notebook”. Everun features AMD Turion 64×2 Dual Core at 1.2GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, ATI RS690E with 64MB DDR2 VGA, 7″ 1024*600 LCD. It also comes with optional 12GB SSD and 80GB 1.8″ hard disk, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3M pixel CMOS Camera, SD/MMC slot, and more. With such specs, it is definitely not intended for newbies who might opt for less sophistication in a small package. Everun Note will retail with suggested price of $879, considerably well below the likes of VAIO UX, but abit higher than your average netbooks. Commodore has debuted UMMD 8010/F as their first attempt in the Netbook market, shown off at IDF in Berlin. The 10-inch Netbook will feature a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M processor, an 80GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, built-in WiFi, and optional Bluetooth. The model will feature a 8.9-inch 1,280 x 768 resolution display, a 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor, Intel’s GMA X4500 graphics set, up to 2GB of RAM, a fingerprint reader, WiFi / Bluetooth, Ethernet and ports that include SD, VGA out, USB (x2) and PCMCIA. MiTAC MiStation Netbook

MiTaC MiStation Netbook

MiTAC the company that owns Mio and Navman has recently launched netbooks at IFA in Berlin. The new model, called the MiStation, will feature 8.9″ screen and powered by 1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor. It will also come with 20GB SSD or 60GB hard drive, optional Windows XP or Linux and the usual array of connectivity options including wireless (b and g) and Bluetooth 2. Other tech specs include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, and VGA out. The model will be hitting Europe at the end of November and prices will start from £282 for the 60GB Linux version. The 20GB SSD model would cost around £400 a spokesperson for the company said.
